Hello fellow EDF. I would like to share a rare trade route that I found browsing the web.
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RitrGeA_1jL48AcY1NUx6JUEMrFXZhZI7F05Y4cExrQ/pubhtml
The route itself is compose of 10 systems, 5 for half the trip, 5 on the other half. Starting from lave (Alliance terrirory) you work your way around the other 4 local systems and gather 6 different rare commodities (Leesti has 2). After you gather the 6 different commodities, in my experience, you should have around 30-48 rare items. From the last destination in that group (Disco), head to Fujin and sell your items. After that travel to the other 5 destinations and buy 5 different commodities. These second group of systems will be spread out more then the first group. Once you gather all the rare items (should be around 35-52) head back to Lave and sell. Rinse, lather, and repeat as necessary.
If you are new to rare trading, I would suggest using a cobra with the bare minimal. When I say bare minimal, I mean no weapons, shields, and every module at the lowest you need it.
-Suggested Ship Specs-
Ship: Cobra MK III
S Hardpoints 1&2: empty
M Hardpoints 1&2: empty
U Mount 1&2: empty
Bulkheads: Light
Power Supply: Class 4, Rate A,B,C (Just enough to give you enough power)
Thrusters: Class 4, Rate A
FSD: Class 4, Rate A
Life Support: Class 3, Rate A (In case your canopy blows from pirates)
Power Dist.: Class 3, Rate A (For boosting away from danger and out of starports)
Sensors: Class 3, Rate E
Fuel Tank: 20x
Storage: x52
Internal: Auto Dock (recommended)
With a bare minimal cobra like that, you should get around 20+ LY jump capability. Which you can complete the longest part of the trip (Diso to Fujin) in 9 jumps or under.
If you read the link, you would see that you would be able to finish in around 70 minutes. In my experience I finished in an average of 80 min, but with around 1.3mil average per round trip. So if you a newer player and in need of cash, I suggest looking into rare trading. But if you do consider doing this, I would highly advise you to be unaffiliaded with powerplay, so you won't get attacked by the other factions.
